A leading Midlands‑based Active Fire Protection provider is expanding its operations and is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer based in the London area. This role will focus on the servicing, maintenance, remedial works, and repair of a wide range of fire alarm systems, fire safety equipment, and life‑safety systems across the South East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and fire detection systems
  • Carry out remedial works and minor repairs on life safety systems
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and system inspections
  • Completion of job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and client support
  • Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or Fire Safety Engineer
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic capabilities
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across London and the South East

Desirable Experience

  • Fire alarm commissioning
  • Exposure to security systems (CCTV, access control)
  • Smoke ventilation testing, installation, or commissioning experience
